AN ORDINANCE authorizing, in 2018, acceptance of funding from non-City sources (commonly known as the 3rd quarter grant acceptance ordinance); authorizing the heads of the Executive Department, Department of Education and Early Learning, Seattle Fire Department, and Seattle Department of Transportation to accept specified grants, private funding, and subsidized loans and to execute, deliver, and perform corresponding agreements; and ratifying and confirming certain prior acts.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF SEATTLE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Mayor or the Mayor’s designee, the Director of Education, the Fire Chief, and the Director of Transportation are authorized to accept the following non-City funding from the grantors listed below; and to execute, deliver, and perform, on behalf of The City of Seattle, agreements for the purposes described below. The funds, when received, shall be deposited in the receiving funds identified below to support, or as reimbursement for, the corresponding appropriations set forth in the ordinance introduced as Council Bill 119391.

The grant also provides $10,000 for a six-month intern to collect and analyze data on development activity. |

Section 2. Any act consistent with the authority of this ordinance taken after its passage and prior to its effective date is hereby ratified and confirmed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force 30 days after its approval by the Mayor, but if not approved and returned by the Mayor within ten days after presentation, it shall take effect as provided by Seattle Municipal Code Section 1.04.020.
