A RESOLUTION setting forth The City of Seattle’s 2016 State Legislative Agenda.

WHEREAS, The City of Seattle's Legislative Agenda is developed annually with input from City departments, elected officials, Seattle state legislative delegation, regional governmental agencies, statewide interest groups, and advocates; and
WHEREAS, the City, in cooperation with these entities, will advocate to the Legislature for items included in the Legislative Agenda; and
WHEREAS, the 2016 legislative session will last 60 days and will likely result in the adoption of supplemental operating, capital, and transportation budgets, as well as changes to state policy; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEATTLE, THE MAYOR CONCURRING, THAT:
Section 1. Issues in the City of Seattle 2016 State Legislative Agenda are an accurate, though not exhaustive, list of City interests and priorities for the 2016 state legislative session.
Section 2. The City of Seattle 2016 State Legislative Agenda attached to this resolution as Exhibit 1 is adopted.
