A RESOLUTION approving the City of Seattle Disaster Recovery Framework.

WHEREAS, Seattle Municipal Code (SMC) Section 10.02.050 requires that the Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan, and the major components of the plan including the Disaster Recovery Framework, be kept current, and that under the direction of the Mayor, proposed amendments thereto be presented to the City Council for review and approval by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the Disaster Management Committee and the Mayor's Emergency Executive Board created by SMC Section 10.02.060 have formally reviewed and approved the Disaster Recovery Framework; and
WHEREAS, the Office of Emergency Management has submitted the Disaster Recovery Framework to the Mayor for the Mayor's promulgation; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, in accordance with Washington Administrative Code Section 118-30-060(6), and after careful consideration, has signified endorsement of the Disaster Recovery Framework; and
WHEREAS, SMC Section 10.02.050 requires City Council review and approval of the Disaster Recovery Framework; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEATTLE, THE MAYOR CONCURRING, THAT:
Section 1. The latest version of the Disaster Recovery Framework, dated July 7, 2015, attached hereto as Exhibit 1, has been reviewed and is hereby approved.
Adopted by the City Council the ____ day of ____________________, 2016, and signed by me in open session in authentication of its adoption this ________ day of ______________________, 2016.
