BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF SEATTLE AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. The Mayor or the Mayor’s designee, the Superintendent of Parks and Recreation, the Director of the Human Services Department, the Fire Chief, the Chief of Police, and the Council President are authorized to accept the following non-City funding from the grantors listed below, and to execute, deliver, and perform, on behalf of The City of Seattle, agreements for the purposes described below. The funds, when received, shall be deposited in the receiving fund identified below to support, or as reimbursement for, the corresponding appropriations set forth in the ordinance introduced as Council Bill 118752.

The purpose of this grant is to support the 3rd phase of the “Turning Commitment into Action” learning cohort. Phase 3 will pair teaching artist cohort members with arts and cultural organization cohort members in working practicums that center a mission-driven artistic process to fuel the implementation of the racial equity plans.

Section 2. The Director of Seattle Public Utilities is authorized to accept the following non-City funding from the grantors listed below, and to execute, deliver, and perform, on behalf of The City of Seattle, agreements for the purposes described below.

Section 3. Any act consistent with the authority of this ordinance taken prior to its effective date is hereby ratified and confirmed.

 

Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force 30 days after its approval by the Mayor, but if not approved and returned by the Mayor within ten days after presentation, it shall take effect as provided by Seattle Municipal Code Section 1.04.020.
