AN ORDINANCE relating to City employment, commonly referred to as the Fourth Quarter 2016 Employment Ordinance; designating positions as exempt from Civil Service status; amending Section 4.13.010 of the Seattle Municipal Code; and ratifying and confirming certain prior acts; all by a 2/3 vote of the City Council.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF SEATTLE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Designating Six Positions as Exempt from Civil Service Status. As recommended by the Seattle Human Resources Director in the Classification Determination Report specified, the following positions are designated as exempt from Civil Service as noted below, pursuant to Seattle Municipal Code subsection 4.13.010:
- One vacant position (00012539) in the Seattle City Light Department; Labor Relations Coordinator, designated to Strategic Advisor 2, Exempt (Report #16-15233).
- One filled position (10002645) in the Seattle Information Technology Department; Information Technology Professional B-BU, designated to Information Technology Professional A, Exempt (Report #16-15332).
- One filled position (00007652) in the Seattle Information Technology Department; Information Technology Professional B-BU, designated to Information Technology Professional A, Exempt (Report #16-15333).
- One filled position (00008071) in the Seattle Public Utilities Department; Manager 3, Utilities, designated to Executive 2 (Report #16-15394).
- One filled position (00025215) in the Seattle Public Utilities Department; Manager 3, Utilities, designated to Executive 2 (Report #16-15395).
- One vacant position (00018130) in the Seattle Department of Human Resources; Strategic Advisor 1, Finance, Budget, & Accounting, designated to Strategic Advisor 1, Exempt (Report #16-15562).
