BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF SEATTLE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Mayor or the Mayor’s designee, the Superintendent of Parks and Recreation, the Superintendent of Parks and Recreation, the Fire Chief, the Chief of Police, and the Seattle Public Utilities General Manager and Chief Executive Officer are authorized to accept the following non-City funding from the grantors listed below; and to execute, deliver, and perform, on behalf of The City of Seattle, agreements for the purposes described below. The funds, when received, shall be deposited in the receiving funds identified below to support, or as reimbursement for, the corresponding appropriations set forth in the ordinance introduced as Council Bill 119272.

This item accepts a subsidized loan from the Public Works Trust Fund (PWTF). The resources will be used to replace two parallel bridge structures that are seismically vulnerable. The two bridges will be replaced with a single bridge approximately 500 feet long and 65 feet wide. The bridge will accommodate a protected bike lane, pedestrian walkways, and three vehicle travel lanes. The PWTF Loan program is a low-cost lending option. The rate for this loan is 1.66%. |

Section 3. Any act consistent with the authority of this ordinance taken after its passage and prior to its effective date is hereby ratified and confirmed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force 30 days after its approval by the Mayor, but if not approved and returned by the Mayor within ten days after presentation, it shall take effect as provided by Seattle Municipal Code Section 1.04.020.
