AN ORDINANCE relating to the City Light Department; authorizing the General Manager and Chief Executive Officer of City Light to execute an agreement with the City of Bothell for relocation of approximately 0.87 mile of existing Fiber Cable 157 along SR 522 from aerial to underground as part of the City of Bothell's SR 522 Stage 3 Improvement Project, including the execution of other agreements or amendments necessary or convenient for the completion of the joint utility trench.

WHEREAS, the City of Bothell will be responsible for the administration, design, and construction of the SR 522 Stage 3 Improvement Project, which includes utility trenching for affected aerial utilities, and the City Light Department ("City Light") will pay their portion of the allocated costs; and
WHEREAS, the City of Bothell will provide all necessary excavation, bedding, backfill, off-site disposal, and site restoration for the Joint Utility Trench Project, along with the coordination of other utilities participating in the Joint Utility Trench Project; and
WHEREAS, the City of Bothell will document quantities as the City of Bothell's contractor proceeds with excavation, materials supply, installation, and backfill and will provide invoices, not more frequently than once a month, to The City of Seattle for work undertaken in connection with the proposed Joint Utility Trench Agreement; and
WHEREAS, City Light will provide and install all wires, conductors, and any other equipment needed to restore Fiber Cable (FC) 157 once the vaults and conduit are completed by the City of Bothell; and
WHEREAS, City Light will be responsible for providing all traffic control associated with the pulling of cables and associated equipment, and the removal of The City of Seattle's existing lines; and
