A RESOLUTION approving the Seattle Pedestrian Master Plan 2018-2022 Implementation Plan and Progress Report.

WHEREAS, the Seattle City Council (“Council”) approved the updated Seattle Pedestrian Master Plan (PMP) by Resolution 31743 in June 2017; and
WHEREAS, Resolution 31743 approving the PMP directed the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) to present to Council an annual Implementation Plan describing SDOT’s anticipated PMP implementation, including prioritized capital investments over the next five years along with progress on previous implementation efforts and PMP performance measures, as well as cost and funding information, all developed with input from the Pedestrian Advisory Board; and
WHEREAS, Resolution 31743 directed SDOT to submit to Council the first annual PMP Implementation Plan by December 1, 2017, and anticipated adoption of the first Implementation Plan by future resolution; and
WHEREAS, SDOT presented the Implementation Plan at the December 8, 2017, Council Sustainability and Transportation Committee meeting; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEATTLE, THE MAYOR CONCURRING, THAT:
Section 1. The Seattle Pedestrian Master Plan 2018-2022 Implementation Plan and Progress Report, dated December 1, 2017, a copy of which is attached to this resolution as Attachment A, is approved.
