AN ORDINANCE relating to City employment, commonly referred to as the Second Quarter 2018 Employment Ordinance; designating positions as exempt from Civil Service status; and establishing new titles and salaries; all by a 2/3 vote of the City Council.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF SEATTLE AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. Designating five positions as exempt from Civil Service status. As recommended by the Seattle Human Resources Director in the Classification Determination Reports specified, the following positions are designated as exempt from Civil Service as noted below, pursuant to Seattle Municipal Code Section 4.13.010:

-                     One vacant position (00022348) in the Department of Neighborhoods; Planning and Development Specialist, Supervising designated to Strategic Advisor 1, Exempt (report #18-16566);

-                     One filled position (00024288) in the Office of Economic Development; Strategic Advisor 2, General Government designated to Strategic Advisor 2, Exempt (report #18-16460);

-                     One filled position (00025818) in the Office of Economic Development; Strategic Advisor 2, General Government designated to Strategic Advisor 3, Exempt (report #18-16539);

-                     One vacant position (10006525) in the Office of Planning and Community Development; Strategic Advisor 2, General Government designated to Strategic Advisor 2, Exempt (report #18-16613);

-                     One vacant position (10003481) in the Seattle Department of Transportation; Strategic Advisor 2, General Government designated to Executive 3 (report #18-16623).

Section 2. Establishing new titles and salaries. As recommended by the Seattle Human Resources Director, the following titles and salary rates are established as displayed below, effective as of the date shown.
