AN ORDINANCE relating to City employment, commonly referred to as the Second Quarter 2022 Employment Ordinance; returning positions to the civil service system; removing positions from the Civil Service system; and amending Section 4.13.010 of the Seattle Municipal Code; all by a 2/3 vote of the City Council.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF SEATTLE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Returning seven positions from exempt to non-exempt Civil Service status. As recommended by the Seattle Human Resources Director in the Classification Determination Report specified, the following positions are returned to Civil Service:
- 1 filled position (10006670) in Office for Civil Rights, Strategic Advisor 1, General Government-L17 (Report #18751)
- 1 filled position (10005186) in Office for Civil Rights, Manager 2, General Government - BU (Report #18719)
- 1 vacant position (10007306) in Office of Economic and Revenue Forecasts, Strategic Advisor 1, Finance, Budget, and Accounting (Report #18696)
- 1 vacant position (10007210) in Office of Immigrant and Refugee Affairs, Planning and Development Specialist II (Report #18637)
- 1 filled position (10006336) in Office of Sustainability and Environment Strategic Advisor 2, General Government (Report #18576)
- 1 vacant position (10007198) in Office of Arts and Culture, Arts Program Specialist (Report #18616)
- 1 vacant position (10007067) in Community Safety and Communications Center, Personnel Specialist, Senior (Report #18804)
Section 2. Removing one position from non-exempt to exempt Civil Service status. As recommended by the Seattle Human Resources Director in the Classification Determination Report specified, the following position is returned to Civil Service:
- 1 vacant position (00020956) in Human Services Department, Executive 2 (Report #18790)
Section 3. Section 4.13.010 of the Seattle Municipal Code, last amended by Ordinance 126394, is amended as follows:

Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force 30 days after its approval by the Mayor, but if not approved and returned by the Mayor within ten days after presentation, it shall take effect as provided by Seattle Municipal Code Section 1.04.020.
