AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance 125471, which conditioned the Seattle Department of Transportation's 2018 grant applications.

WHEREAS, the Seattle Department of Transportation applies for a variety of state, federal, and other external funding grants to construct the transportation projects identified in the City's Capital Improvement Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to affirm support for large capital projects in advance of the Seattle Department of Transportation applying for external grants; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance 125471 authorized a specific list of projects for which the Seattle Department of Transportation may apply for competitive grants of $5,000,000 or more in 2018; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance 125471 does not direct or require that the Seattle Department of Transportation apply for specific grants; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance 125471 may be amended during 2018 to reflect emerging funding opportunities or capital priorities; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF SEATTLE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 2 of Ordinance 125471 is amended as follows:
Section 2. In 2018, the Seattle Department of Transportation is authorized to apply for grants for the following projects:
A. 23rd Avenue Corridor Improvements (TC367420)
B. 3rd Avenue Corridor Improvements (TC367370)
C. Accessible Mt. Baker Implementation (TC367800)
D. ADA Improvements - SDOT (TC367500)
E. Arterial Asphalt & Concrete Program Phase II (TC367740)
F. Bike Master Plan Implementation (TC366760)
G. Bridge Rehabilitation and Replacement Phase II (TC367450)
H. Bridge Seismic - Phase III (TC367300)
I. Center City Streetcar Connector (TC367210)
J. Freight Spot Improvement Program (TC365850)
K. Graham Street Station (TC367780)
L. Heavy Haul Corridor Program (TC367590)
M. Madison Street Bus Rapid Transit (TC367480)
