Recitals:
The Yew, LLC has filed a petition with the City Council to vacate public property.
A portion of the alley was vacated in 1972 by Ordinance 100842.
Chapter 35.79 of the Revised Code of Washington requires the Seattle City Council to hold a public hearing on the petition.
The Yew, LLC, is the sole abutting property owner.
The petition is signed by the owners of more than two-thirds of the property abutting on the subject area. Therefore,
Be it resolved by the City Council of The City of Seattle:
Section 1. A hearing by the Seattle City Council for the petition to vacate the remaining portion of the alley lying within Block 2, Wegener's Addition to the City of Seattle, has been scheduled during the Council's Transportation, Waterfront, and Seattle Center Committee, meeting on May 7, 2026 starting at 9:30 a.m., in the City Council Chambers, Floor 2, City Hall. The Transportation, Waterfront, and Seattle Center Committee will consider the petition when Clerk File 314530 is before the committee during the Committee's agenda.
The City Clerk is directed to give notice of the hearing in the manner provided by law. A map, indicating the property described in the petition, shall be affixed to and become part of the notice that shall be posted by the street vacation petitioner in a conspicuous place on the right-of-way sought to be vacated.
