A RESOLUTION related to The City of Seattle's Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan (CEMP); adopting the CEMP Introduction, Emergency Operations Plan, Continuity of Government Plan, and Emergency Support Function #14 - Transition to Recovery, including 2017 revisions.

WHEREAS, Seattle Municipal Code (SMC) Section 10.02.050 requires that a Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan (CEMP) be kept current, and that under the direction of the Mayor, proposed amendments thereto be presented to the City Council for review and adoption by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor's Emergency Executive Board and the Disaster Management Committee created by SMC 10.02.060 have formally reviewed and approved the following revised CEMP documents: Introduction, Emergency Operations Plan, Continuity of Government Plan, and Emergency Support Function #14 - Transition to Recovery; and
WHEREAS, the Office of Emergency Management has submitted the CEMP to the Mayor for the Mayor's promulgation; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, in accordance with Washington Administrative Code 118-30-060(6), and after careful consideration, has endorsed the CEMP Introduction, Emergency Operations Plan, Continuity of Government Plan, and Emergency Support Function #14 - Transition to Recovery, by issuing a Promulgation Memorandum; and
WHEREAS, under SMC 10.02.050, the City Council has reviewed and approved the CEMP Introduction, Emergency Operations Plan, Continuity of Government Plan, and Emergency Support Function #14 - Transition to Recovery endorsed by the Mayor; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEATTLE, THE MAYOR CONCURRING, THAT:
