Recitals:
Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) requires additional operational space to support present and future North Seattle utility system needs for maintenance, material storage, emergency response, and Water – Drainage operational coordination.
The proposed North One Water Facility is intended to serve as the primary base for SPU’s Water Line of Business and Drainage and Wastewater Line of Business and will provide emergency back up to the critical command and control functions at SPU’s Operations Control Center in SODO.
Acquisition of the property will enhance SPU’s ability to efficiently operate across its geographical service area, improving system reliability, maintenance, customer support, and emergency response times.
The property has been evaluated and determined to be suitable for utility purposes, subject to completion of due diligence including environmental review, title review, and other standard acquisition requirements.
