A RESOLUTION adopting revised rules for City Council quasi-judicial proceedings, and repealing the previous rules that were adopted by Resolution 31375.

WHEREAS, on January 16, 1990, the City Council adopted Resolution 28118, adopting Rules for Quasi-Judicial Proceedings Before the City Council; and
WHEREAS, those 1990 rules were revised by Resolution 29315 (1996), Resolution 31001 (2007), and Resolution 31375 (2012); and
WHEREAS, the Council wants to amend the existing rules to clarify procedures, and use consistent terminology and format; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEATTLE THAT:
Section 1. The City Council Rules for Quasi-Judicial Proceedings (2015 Rules) attached as Exhibit A are adopted.
Section 2. The rules adopted by Resolution 31375 (2012 Rules) are repealed. The changes from the 2012 Rules to the 2015 Rules are shown in Exhibit B.
Section 3. This resolution takes effect immediately upon Council adoption.
