AN ORDINANCE relating to City employment; adopting a 2018 Citywide Position List.

WHEREAS, the City Council annually adopts a Citywide Position List and a City Budget; and
WHEREAS, in 2017, the City Council passed Ordinance 125381 adopting a 2017 Citywide Position List, and Ordinance 125475 adopting the 2018 Budget; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance 125475 anticipated additional legislation from the Seattle Department of Human Resources proposing a 2018 Citywide Position List that reflects changes to the 2017 Citywide Position List; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance 125475 anticipated that such position list would include: modifications to the 2017 Position List for changes effected by subsection 3(a) of Ordinance 125475; the Seattle Human Resources Director's reclassification of regular positions made from January 1, 2017 through December 31, 2017; and the creation, modification, or abrogation of regular positions by ordinances passed during the same period; and
WHEREAS, the Seattle Department of Human Resources has duly compiled a 2018 Citywide Position List; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF SEATTLE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Effective January 1, 2018, the officer and employee positions designated in the "2018 Citywide Position List," attached to this ordinance as Exhibit A, are hereby established as the regular full-time positions and regular part-time positions in the various City departments or
offices shown in each position classification (title) listed; however, if Exhibit A shows a later effective date for any such position, the later date shall govern.
Section 2. The positions included in Exhibit A shall remain in effect subject to modification by any appropriate administrative or legislative action occurring on or after January 1, 2018.
