AN ORDINANCE relating to the City-owned property located at 702 Roy Street in a portion of Lot 4, Block 2, Eden Addition to the City of Seattle; laying off, opening, widening, extending, and establishing a portion of Roy Street; and placing the property under the jurisdiction of the Seattle Department of Transportation.

WHEREAS, in 1969 under Ordinances 97454 and 97740, The City of Seattle authorized, acquired, and accepted Lot 4, Block 2, Eden Addition to the City of Seattle and designated the property for street purposes in anticipation of the proposed Bay Freeway project that never materialized; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Transportation has identified a portion of this parcel that is needed for street right-of-way; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF SEATTLE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Roy Street is laid off, opened, extended, and established across the real property legally described and depicted in Exhibits A and B to this ordinance and placed under the jurisdiction of the Seattle Department of Transportation.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force 30 days after its approval by the Mayor, but if not approved and returned by the Mayor within ten days after presentation, it shall take effect as provided by Seattle Municipal Code Section 1.04.020.
