AN ORDINANCE relating to grant funds from non-City sources; authorizing the Director of Transportation to accept specified grants and execute related agreements for and on behalf of the City; amending Ordinance 125207, which adopted the 2017 Budget, including the 2017-2022 Capital Improvement Program (CIP); changing appropriations to the Seattle Department of Transportation; revising allocations and spending plans for certain projects in the 2017-2022 CIP; and ratifying and confirming certain prior acts.

WHEREAS, in 2016, The City of Seattle was awarded funds from the Transportation Improvement Board (TIB) for improvements to the Fairview Bridge and Greenwood Avenue Sidewalks; and
WHEREAS, The City of Seattle was awarded funds from the Washington State Department of Transportation Innovative Safety Program for the High-Friction Surface Treatments, and Traffic Signal Visibility Improvements; and
WHEREAS, The City of Seattle was awarded funds from the Washington State Department of Transportation - Coordination Program for the Standardized Pedestrian Wayfinding System - Phase I; and
WHEREAS, The City of Seattle was awarded funds from the FAST Corridor for the Nickerson Street Reconstruction and 6th Ave S / Industrial Way Intersection Reconstruction projects; and
WHEREAS, the City of Seattle was awarded funds from the Washington State Department of Transportation Regional Mobility Grant Program for the Delridge Multimodal Corridor; and
WHEREAS, the City of Seattle was awarded funds from the Federal Transit Administration for the Rainier/Jackson Multimodal Corridor project; and
WHEREAS, these grant funds require execution of agreements; and
WHEREAS, spending of these grants will begin in 2017; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF SEATTLE AS FOLLOWS:
