WHEREAS, since adoption of the 2021 Budget, including the 2021-2026 CIP, the Puget Sound Regional Council (PSRC) has awarded federal Surface Transportation (STP) and Highway Infrastructure Program (HIP) funds to the City of Seattle for the West Seattle Bridge Immediate Response Project; and
WHEREAS, these grant funds require execution of agreements contingent on acceptance of the grants; and
WHEREAS, spending of these grant funds will begin in the second quarter of 2021, requiring immediate budget authority; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF SEATTLE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Director of the Seattle Department of Transportation is authorized to accept the following non-City funding from the grantor listed below, and to execute, deliver, and perform agreements for the purposes described below. The funds, when received, shall be deposited in the receiving fund identified below to support, or as reimbursement for, the corresponding appropriations set forth in Section 2 and Section 3 of this ordinance.
